      For I am persuaded, that
ncither death, nor life, not angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come, nor height, nor
depth, nor any other creature, shall be
able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Christ Jesus

I Asked God.....
I asked God to take away my pain.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.
I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.
I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings.
Happiness is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from
worldly cares and brings you closer to  me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.
I asked for all things that I
might enjoy life. God said, No.
I will give you life so that
you may enjoy all things.
I ask God to help me LOVE others,
as much as he loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the  idea.

Irish Proverb
Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
   But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.
Always remember to forget
      The friends that proved untrue.
   But never forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.
Always remember to forget
      The troubles that passed away.
   But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

   If I Knew.......

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
So I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute
To stop and say "I love you,”  instead of assuming you would know  I do.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight,
And we always get a second chance to make everything just right.
There will always be another day to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do?"
But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike
And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
And you were too busy to grant someone,
What turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them and
That you'll always hold them dear
Take time to say "I'm sorry, Please forgive me,
                          “Thank you," or "It's okay."
                    And if tomorrow never comes,
You'll have no regrets about today.

-My Friend-
Life is full of ups and downs
Smiles and laughter, tears and frowns.
But with all life's changes its good to know
That I have a friend, to whom I can go.

And no matter how hurt that I have been
You always remind me that I have a friend.
My life has been blessed because of you,
Your loving ways, and all that you do.

MY FORGETTER

My forgetter's getting better
                 But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke
For when I'm "here" I'm wondering
If I really should be "there"
And, when I try to think it through,
                             I haven't got a prayer!
Oft times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain
                                     A zero, is my score.
At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
                      Is, generally, me!
When shopping I may see someone,
Say "Hi" and have a chat,
But when we’re through and they are gone
                             I ask myself, "who's that?"
Yes, my forgetter's getting better
        While my rememberer is broke,
So, it's driving me plumb crazy
                                 And that isn't any joke.
  After A While You Learn....
the  subtle difference between holding a hand and
chaining a soul.  And you learn that love
doesn’t mean leaning and company doesn’t
                                              mean security.
And you begin to learn that kisses
aren’t  contracts and presents aren’t promises.
And  you begin to accept your defeats with your head up
and your eyes open; with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build all your roads
on today because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain, and
plans and futures have a way of falling  down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get
too much.  So you plant your own garden and  decorate
your own soul insteadof waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
              that you really are  strong...
and you really do have worth...
And you learn and you learn...
                                                         with every goodbye you learn
