Online Christian
Counseling

www.barnabus.com
is  an online Christian Counseling
site--affiliated with the Rapha
Counseling Centers.  Dodie Williams
has been affiliated with this group
for 8 years.  Go to the website above
and look for Dodie Williams to select
as your counselor. The first
session should be a “journal”

We have the highest respect for
every person who seeks counseling.
We know it takes courage to reach
out and get help.  The first two to
three sessions will involve in-depth
assessment of your problem and
your family system.  We believe
that people learn how to be who
they are, how to “do family” and
how to have relationships with the
opposite sex in their families when
they are growing up.  In addition,
the culture and traumatic adult
events and relationships play an
important role in teaching us how
to relate to others.  Therefore, this
initial assessment is very important
to help you learn more about
yourself in the context of your
culture and family.  Although new
insights will occur during this time,
a therapy plan and goal-setting will
not occur until the assessment
phase is complete.  Until that time,
the length and depth of counseling
cannot be determined.  Usually
clients are pleasantly surprised by
the clear direction and under-
standing gained during this
assessment time, and they are
empowered to focus on the defined
therapy direction and to work for
change.
